How Laser Focused Works
Laser Focused magnetizes to the web of the rail and measures rail deflection under full dynamic load. This includes lateral push of the rail and vertical void pumping of the rail as the train passes over the unit. Laser Focused also measures rail temperature, ambient temperature, and superelevation. Connect to Laser Focused by bluetooth or the cloud to view data in real time and generate reports.

A Few Use Cases
Excessive Pumping
Using the void sensing lasers on the Laser Focused device, you can measure how much vertical movement your track is moving in comparison to the ballast.
Heat Watch
Have a few locations heating up? Monitor the rail temperature and ambient temperature of specific locations and get notified once above your agency’s set threshold.
Trouble Area Monitoring
Continually fixing a washout area? Monitor this location using Laser Focused to see how track is reacting over certain periods of time and get alerted when maintenance is due.
